Lovedrops from 1966
Here’s a sock-hop-survivor from Roy’s own early 45 collection – a record most likely purchased with his pop or beer-bottle money back in 1966. Looking at this label, you’ll have no problem figuring out who the record belongs to. More importantly though, this is a superb 1966 pop single by Edmonton’s Barry Allen. Note: Lovedrops peaked at # 4 on Toronto’s CHUM chart on May 30, 1966. The # 1 record was Paint It Black. |
